Claude answers the ringing payphone inside the park in Hepburn Heights.

El Burro introduces himself. He tells Claude that even though he's new in Liberty City, he's gaining a reputation on the streets. There's a street race starting next to the Callahan Bridge, winner takes all.

After the phone call, you're told to get a fast car and make your way to the starting grid.

Although the Banshee is the fastest car you can access on Portland, you can still win the race in a Police Car or even a Mafia Sentinel, but the Banshee has great handling and acceleration so it's definitely recommended.

Once you've chosen... or stolen... your desired vehicle, make your way to the old school hall next to the Callahan Bridge where the race starts. You'll spot your three opponents all driving Cheetah's.

To start the race, park up in the blue marker where you'll be given a countdown, however the race will automatically start if you crash into any of the three Cheetah's on the start line.

Hints & Tips

If you crash hard into the parked cars or damage them, the race will start, however if you very gently nudge them with your car, you can turn them around and make them face the wrong way, giving you a good headstart.

You can also park a bus of van in front of them to block them off which can also provide some benefit.

Another useful tip is to speed along the road then try to nudge one of the cars as you speed past. You don't want to hit it so hard that you spin out, but if you hit it hard enough, the race will start but you'll already be up to top speed giving you a handy boost off the start line.

Once the race starts, you'll need to speed around the island collecting the blue checkpoints.

As long as your car touches the marker, you should be ok, but ideally you'll want to go through the middle to ensure you don't miss a checkpoint because you'll have to go back to collect it. There's a map showing a route of the race at the bottom of this guide.

You'll go through Trenton, Callahan Point, Chinatown, Portland View, Saint Mark's, Harwood, Hepburn Heights and The Red Light District, so a full tour of the whole island.

Avoid oncoming traffic and keep up your speed. Brake for corners and use the handbrake to help powerslide around them. If you blocked off the other drivers at the start, they probably won't cause too much of a problem to you.

Keep racing around the course until you reach the start line again and the first checkpoint is also the finish line.
