Vinnie tells Mike they'll need some fake IDs before they can leave the city, but luckily he knows a guy who can help.
| Vinnie | We're real close here, Mike, but before we can leave, we will need some fake IDs. The guy that runs the bomb shop, 8-Ball, is an old friend of mine. He'll be able to hook you up. He's probably hanging out at his pad right now. |

Make your way North to 8-Balls pad which is just a few blocks away.
| 8-Ball | So, you're a friend of Vinnie's, huh? Here, take these and if you get caught, you didn't get them from me, right? And tell Vinnie we're even. |

| Mike | Thanks, 8-Ball. I'll be seeing you around. |
After you've spoken to 8-Ball and got the fake ID's, you'll be told - via a pager message from Vinnie - that someone ratted you out and the cops are onto you. You'll be given a 2-star wanted level.
The game will then explain the wanted level system, informing you that the two stars at the top right corner of the screen indicate the level of the police attention. You're told you can run over star pickups (police bribes) to reduce your wanted level by one star each time, or visit the Pay 'n' Spray to clear it completely.
The camera will then pan to a police bribe nearby which is waiting to be collected.
Once you're back on foot, make your way over to it which will drop your wanted level down to 1-star, then you can head back towards the restaurant as a one star wanted level will disappear on it's own after 10-15 seconds or so if you stay out of trouble.
If you head back to the restaurant when you still have a wanted level, Vinnie will get angry, but you won't fail the mission, you'll just have to come back when it's cleared.
| Vinnie | Dammit, kid. I told you to lose the cops before coming back. Get the hell out of here! |

Head to the restaurant and walk into the blue circle outside once you've lost the cops.
| Vinnie | Alright, we're almost ready to get the hell out of this dump. Let me finish up with these guys and we'll be ready to go. I'll meet you over in Chinatown. |

A post-mission pager message from Vinnie tells Mike you meet him in Chintown because it's time to leave this hellhole.
